DR SULMAN AHMEDGeneral & Hepatobiliary Surgeon
Dr. Sulman Ahmed is a General and Hepatobiliary surgeon.

Sulman grew up in Sydney, and attended Trinity Grammar School (1980-1991). He completed his HSC in 1991. Sulman then went on to complete his medical studies at the University of Sydney; graduating in 1998.

Sulman then completed his general surgical fellowship in 2007. He has then undertaken 3 years of further subspecialty training in Hepatobiliary surgery.

Sulmans general surgical interests include gastroscopy, colonoscopy & ERCP. Sulman also performs arrange of laparoscopic surgery including inguinal hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery, fundoplication and adrenal surgery. Other surgical interests include umbilical/ventral hernia repairs, circumcisions, ingrown toe nail surgery, plus lumps & bumps.

Special Interests:
Sulman has a special interest in Liver Cancer, and this forms his major subspecialty practice.

RENEE KENNEDYAccredited Practising Dietitian
Renee is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Sports Dietitian. She is the founder of Motivate Nutrition.

Since graduating from the University of Wollongong in 1999, she has experience working in the areas of clinical & sports nutrition, both within a public hospital & private practice setting. She has a keen interest in weight management, bariatric surgery, digestive health, sport nutrition and diabetes especially as it relates with children and emerging health technologies.

Throughout her career, Renee has worked in a number of hospitals in Sydney. These include Westmead Hospital, the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and currently holds a position as a Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian at Nepean Hospital.

In 2015, she presented her research at the Sports Dietitians Australia conference. This research project evaluated smart phone dietary apps that provide carbohydrate data used in the management of children with diabetes.

Her sports nutrition work has been mostly within a private practice setting that includes individual consulting work, body composition assessments and sports specific nutrition seminars or workshops. These seminars have been delivered to a broad range of sporting groups and associations including the NSW Institute of Sport, Western Sydney Academy of Sport, Bowls NSW, Rugby League coaching courses and local swim squads to name a few. Renee enjoys working with all levels of athletes, from beginners to elite and from a range of sports and age groups.

Being a Dietitian allows Renee to combine her enjoyment of food and exercise with her knowledge of nutritional science to promote optimal health, sport performance and overall wellness.

Away from work, Renee loves running, yoga and triathlons! This is where she really enjoys putting sports nutrition theory into real life practice for herself! As a Mum of two young boys, she is a keen supporter of any sport they are involved in which at the moment is tennis and swimming.

Jan has been working with Dr Ahmed for almost six years and brings with her a diverse and extensive knowledge of medical practice and office management from working with both GPs and various specialities over the years. She is a mother of 4 and grandmother to 11 grandchildren and has lived locally in the Blue Mountains since 1974.
CATHExecutive Assistant
Cath has worked for Dr Ahmed for 5 years. She lives in the mountains with her family and is the mother of three. She loves to spend her spare time on the beach with her family and walking her puppy.
